A brief selection of institutions that offer various kinds of integrative
programs. This list is by no means complete, but intended to offer an
introduction to various kinds of integrative programs. Integrative programs
include multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary programs,
as well as Area Studies, Women's Studies, Gender Studies, and other programs
(these are often multidisciplinary programs). If you would like to
know more about the differences between these various integrative models,
you can go to the
Design page of Deborah Vess's Course Portfolio, Explorations in
Interdisciplinary Teaching and Learning, and explore the section What is
Interdisciplinarity? A Brief Survey of the Literature for a fuller
