1.   Temporary Employees - An employment application must be submitted to Human Resources prior to employment.
Adjunct Faculty - The application process must be completed and approved prior to appointment. Inquire in the appropriate School/College.

2.    On or before the first day of employment at Georgia College & State University, all new Part-time/Temporary employees and Adjunct Faculty members must complete the following forms before their paychecks can be processed. Please download and complete the following forms:

  •   Employment Packet 

    • You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to download these forms. 
      You can get it here, if you don't already have it on your workstation.

    • NEW-SSA-1945 form This form explains the potential effects of two provisions in the Social Security law for workers who also receive a pension based on their work in a job not covered by Social Security.    (This form must be completed by all temporary/adjunct employees.)

    • Note: Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) - The Employment Eligibility Verification form requires certain documents to establish employment eligibility. A list is provided on page 3 of this form. Please make sure you provide these documents with your completed forms.

    • Note: Georgia Defined Contribution Plan (GDCP) Enrollment form - Temporary employees and Adjunct Faculty members who are not members of the Teacher's Retirement System of Georgia or the Employee's Retirement System of Georgia must complete the Georgia Defined Contribution Plan Enrollment form. 3.      Timesheets - Temporary  Employees only:

Note: Adjunct Faculty members do not have to turn in timesheets. The Dean's office submits payroll information.

4.    Original forms and signatures are needed in order to process this information for payroll. Our campus location is 310 Parks Hall, or you may mail the forms to our office. We do not accept faxed forms. Our mailing address is:

5.    Inquire about Temporary or Part-time Faculty ID cards at the Human Resources office. An ID authorization form will be provided to present to the Student Activities office in order to have an ID made.
