International Student Connections

Classroom Presentations

Georgia College & State University hosts over 100 international students from 40 to 50 different countries. Many are active in campus programs and routinely give presentations on their countries in local schools or GCSU classes. If you are interested in inviting an international student to your class to participate in a panel discussion, provide a presentation or simply answer questions about a relevant topic, please contact the International Education Center and we can help you find a student.

Connections Friendship Program

The International Education Center coordinates the Connections Program, a volunteer cross-cultural friendship program that matches international students with members of the GCSU and local communities. The program was created to ease international students' transition into life at GCSU and the United States and to provide opportunities for GCSU faculty/staff/students and local residents to learn more about another corner of the world and to have rewarding experiences making the difference in the life of a student.

Interested volunteers should submit a Local Connections application form to the International Education Center. Please contact us with any questions.
