Work for the Learning Center

 

The GCSU Learning Center was established in 1995 with three peer tutors and two graduate assistants. In its first year, the Learning Center recorded 200 student visits. Today, the Learning Center employs ten peer tutors along with two graduate assistants and has an average of 3,500 student visits per year. At present, the Learning Center Coordinator is Lori Robinson, a 2005 graduate of GCSU and current MS candidate.

 

Prospective Peer Tutors

 

Candidate must have:

  • a professor recommendation

  • GPA of 3.0 or above

  • A’s in the courses you wish to tutor

  • Good work ethic (references will be requested)

  • Exhibit excellent communication skills

  • Work well with others

Hours and days are flexible.

Pay is good. Environment is great.

Co-workers are super.
