Congratulations to Kim Umoh, for having two of her paintings  (My Mother, Mercy and Me and Brother II), on display at the John Marlor House. Kim's paintings will be on display until the first week of July.

Kevin Murner has been named the recipient of a scholarship to attend the APPA Institute for Facilities Management. The scholarship was awarded by the Georgia Association of Physical Plant Administrators and is for $2,000.00 per year for four consecutive years. Rick Ruark was last year's scholarship recipient.

Kendall Stiles, Monica Wood and Kevin Murner  recently graduated from the " 2003 Leadership Baldwin program".  Organizers of Leadership Baldwin have been seeking out people in the community who have a high potential for leadership and providing them with programs and activities that give them a better understanding of the local government and community. Congratulations!

I would like to send out a special THANK YOU to everyone who helped us during the GISA tournaments this past Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.  I would like to send Al Kobbe and his staff a very special THANK YOU for all of their help and support during this event.

I too would like to thank everyone for their help to make the 2003 GISA tournament a successful one.  A special thanks to the University volunteers, Carol Brown, Joe Bellflower, Ken Vance (and staff), Joe Bellflower, and Al Kobbe (and staff).

Thanks to Bill Bloodworth and Ainsley Eubanks for working the Staff Council RFL DVD raffle at the homecoming basketball game and Sue Wylly and Travicia Cobb for the posters. And a thank you to delegates and RFL team members who sold tickets. Special thanks to Mitch Clarke and Stan Aldridge for helping us pull this together and allowing Staff Council to sponsor "faculty and staff" night at the basketball game. Way to go!!

Richard Campbell was the winner of Sodexho's first annual Habitat for Humanity drawing.  Richard's purchase of a ticket helped Sodexho raise $807 for this worthy cause.

The Staff Excellence Award for fall went to Anthony Miller, "the poster child for GC&SU's welcome page," according to President DePaolo.
