The 10th Annual Staff Conference The 10th Annual Staff Conference was held at Augusta State University, Oct 2-3, 2003.  Thirteen staff members from GC&SU attended the conference.  We were welcomed by the ASU Staff Council at the Maxwell Alumni House on the main campus of ASU.  Our state staff council representative, Barbara Monnett, current chair and state alternate, Rose Murner and chair-elect, Carol Brown met with the State Staff Council for the business meeting.  All attendees were treated to great food and live entertainment by the ìJamming Jagsî, which consisted of several ASU employees.  Attendees were welcomed Friday morning by ASUís President, Dr. William A. Bloodworth, Jr. and then went to various workshops including Customer Services 101, The Difference Between Men and Women Managers, Self Motivation in the Workplace, Emergencies on Campus: Are you ready?, Office Ettiquette and What do you mean, Make Work Fun??? The luncheon was great.  Keynote speaker Carole Smith, Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at UGA and President of the Georgia Educational Advancement Council (GEAC) was truly inspirational and entertaining.  Those in attendance were Ainsley Eubanks, Terri Pope and Ann Portwood from the College of Arts & Sciences; Paula Jefferson and Jill Harper from the School of Business; Teri Hollar and Sheryl Snow from Plant Operations; Cindy Potts from Public Safety; Jennifer Brooker from Student Affairs; Donna Douglas and Carol Brown from Continuing Education; Barbara Monnett form University Communications; and  Rose Murner from OIIT.
