Georgia College & State University will host a series of events and speakers during Constitution Week that begins Sept. 17. •U.S. District Judge William S. Duffey Jr. will give the Constitution Address, “Trusting Justice: An Independent Judiciary’s Duty to Protect Individual Liberty,” at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 in GCSU’s A&S Auditorium.
•Herman Cain, syndicated talk radio show host and former CEO and chairman of Godfather’s Pizza, will present, “The Constitution and American Tax Policy, Article 1, Sections 7 & 8,” at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19 in GCSU’s A&S Auditorium.
•A discussion, “Give Us Something to Talk About, Free Speech at GCSU,” will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 at in GCSU’s A&S Auditorium. All are welcome to discuss critical issues worthy of campus conversation, places and spaces for free speech and the opportunity to use a variety of methods including debate, civil discourse and open mike among other speech opportunities.
