GCSU Museum presents Techniques and Styles: A Sampling of Paintings, Drawings, and Prints from the Georgia Museum of Art through April 3.This exhibition surveys a variety of techniques and media used in creating two-dimensional artworks significant to Western art. Visitors will view examples of drawings in media such as ink and graphite, and the printmaking methods of woodcut, etching, lithography, and screen-printing. Works date from the 16th through the 20th centuries.
Notable artists and movements on view are Elaine de Kooning (Neo-expressionism), John Salt (Photo-realism), Kyohei Inukai (Minimalism), Ivan Tabakovic (Pop Art), Howard Thomas (Abstract Expressionism), John Grillo (Surrealism), Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (German Expressionism), Jacque Villon (Cubism), Berthe Morisot (Impressionism), Paul Cezanne (Post-impressionism).
